Reloading Xp

My dell laptop HD died the other day, replaced quickly by
dell i reloaded Xp and after a lot of agro all the
updates, security etc but found it was dropping my adsl
line all the time. i have just done a XP repair load and
half way through it has stopped with message
unregmp2.exe - entry point not found
the procedure entry point GetIUMS could not be located i
the dynamic link liberary MSDART.DLL

Any ideas pls - do i reforat and start again or what
