Ecs 8200 and ocz reaper wont run at 1066 in bios
I have been struggling with bios and searching for the answer to run OCZ Reaper HPC 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500)with my AMD 720 BE processor and my ECS 8200a MOBO. Does anyone know how this can be done? Thank you
I have set the voltages to what OCZ says with no luck, talked to ECS and they weren't any help just saying they should run at stock speeds by default. So as of now I have just left all bios at default.
DRAM Freq - 400 MHz
FSB:DRAM - 1:2
CL - 5.0 clocks
tRCD - 5 clocks
tRP - 5 clocks
tRAS - 18 clocks
tRC - 24 clocks
CR - 2T
NB Frequency - 2000
I have tried it seems everything to either not boot or freeze when I get into Vista 64. Thanks for any help.
OCZ has forums to match ram and board timings from other successful installs, have you tried that?
Just out of curiosity what is the voltage requirements at 1066?
While it shouldn't matter have you tried memory slots 3,4 instead of 1,2.
Sometimes a little boost to the NB vid voltage .1v such as 1.2 instead of 1.1 may help. May want to look at what cpu-z says about the SPD data programed in the chips. If it lists Enhanced profiles and your board has both enable Enhanced clock and voltage that should work.
Voltage requirements are 2.1 - 2.2 volts
These are stock for 1066 via Cpu z SPD
TAS to CAS 5
Ras Prech 5
trc both 26 Command Rate 2T
FSB dram was 3.8
Would run fine for a while up to an hour then would BSOD or freeze. Changed tras to 18, trc to auto and dropped voltage to have the same thing happen. I have swapped memory slots, didn't work.
Any thoughts? Thanks
Hey man same boat got my set up 3/1/10 from Tiger! Works awsome so far, great jump from p4 2.8!Onboard runs new games ok Ut3 awsome, Nfs Shif a bit low fps.Overall pretty good so far!Set freq to manual 533 and rest auto!It wants to run at 7-7-7-20!I get errors and tested them with memtest86+!Lots of errors on 1066mhz, at 800mhz no errors!Maybe crappy ram after all!But onboard gpu memory clock depends on the speed of memory!Less load times, faster gameplay, and overall better performance!Maybe if I get a good pair and no BSODs I'll be happy!
