Samsung spinpoint question

i just ordered a samsung spinpoint f3 5400rpm 1tb drive. i was wondering if anyone has had this drive. i know it is 5400rpm instead of 7200. will i see much of a difference? i am using an i7-870 and have 4gb ram thanks

Where did you purchase the 5400rpm F3 1TB from?? I don't see a 5400rpm model in the 1TB. It is the F3 2TB, that is 5400rpm.

amazon said that it was 5400rpm at the title but then the description said that it is 7200..so it is actually 7200?

Should be a 7200. There is a noticable difference between a 5400 disk and a 7200, it's not one of those marginal things. If you go from 5400rpm to 7200rpm, it will seem faster right away.

If you got a full part number from the order you can just look that up with Samsung and be sure.
