Might have screwed the pooch

Okay, so I was trying to get call of juarez bound in blood's sound to work, to no avail. So I updated my HD Audio Realtek driver from their website, then no sound, my media player said it couldn't find hardware. So I rolled back the driver, no sound, so then I reinstalled the driver from the MoBo CD, still no sound, i'm about to uninstall the driver completely, then reinstall from CD.

Yep, that worked, this can be closed. I figured it should work, but spooked myself.
