Cant read from source file or disk copying from computer to external hard drive

Hello,
Trying to copy pictures from desktop to external hard drive. Getting can't read from source file or disk error. Just started a few days ago. I scanned external hard drive and it found 9 bad sectors, fixed but problem still exists.

Since your source is your desktop, I'd scan the OS drive for problems.
