sminla - a long long time ago in a galaxy far far away we used to do that with 3.5 inch floppy disks. :lol:

EDIT - Now that I think about it, I seem to recall using a tiny piece of tape to cover a small opening in a corner of a 5.25 inch floppy disk in order to protect the contents of the disk and keep important data from being overwritten. That would have been back in 1984 when I bought my first pc. There were no hard drives. The DOS operating system and other software were all on floppies. Heaven help you if you accidently inserted the wrong disk into the floppy disk drive.
