Eide and sata on same asus p4800deluxe motherboard

I have a Asus P4p800 Deluxe motherboard the present hard drive is a WD800JD EDIE with XP OS. Can I connect my new WD750 1AALS SATA hard drive to this motherboard with the old hard drive installed and transfer old OS plus files to new hard drive.

Yes. Use the western digital software to set up the new drive as a boot or secondary drive, then try to make an exact copy of the old drive. I use maxblast 5 software for this, but wd should also have it's own version.
