So i am running

Phenom II x4 955 Black edition stock cpu cooler
Asus M4a79-T Deluxe
4 gigs ram
Ati Radeon 4890 XXX black edition
All in a tempest gaming case, so 6 fans

And i am seeing start up temps of 33 degrees
within 5 mins that jumps to 43
and under load its as high as 53

Now this hasnt been a problem other than the noise my cpu fan makes spinning at 6000 rpms
untill recently. To be specific im am playing Red Faction Guerillas and the game has a tendancy to crash, which i am led to belive might be the heat of my CPU, seeing as it is at its hotest when the game crashes. I also had a Hypertranfer sync flood error.. i think that was what it was.

Now im am curious a) what other peoples PII temps are if mine are normal and b) If i get an after market CPU heatsink will that help my cause ?

Thank you for any help.

Idle: 35 C
Load: 50C
Ambient temp: 19 C
On a corsair H50. Something tells me my temps are too high considering the ambient temps and high end cooler.
P.S: using an AZZA fantom 900- very good airflow

Idle 28C
Load 56C

Note my idle is at 1.8Ghz and my Load is at 3.4Ghz, this is with the stock cooler.

If your temps are accurate then they are fine.

Whatabout mine? if his are on stock, then mine seem ridiculous.

50c under load doesn't seem to bad at all. I'm assuming that's 100% load. And really how often do you get your cpu to 100% load without forcing it to =).
