I am about to purchase the GIGABYTE T1028 netbook and I would like to upgrade it to 2 gigs of RAM and replace the internal HD with a fast SSD drive, but I do not know how to find the correct hardware. How do I figure this out?

ask the people that sell the netbook, in the store.

Go to Crucial.com to make sure what RAM type, speed, and Capacity.

For the Hard drive it is a standard 2.5" 9.5mm SATA HDD.

Yes, the Gigabyte website doesn't list what kind of memory it is, this will probably do: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6820145157 but since they're so vague about it, ask the people in the store first.
