I'm currently running an i7-920 at 3.2 (3.33 with turbo-boost). On stock cooling. I've got an Apevia x-sniper case (mid-tower) and I idle around 40-45 degrees. Obviously, I need a new cooling solution and the S1283v seems like a good choice.

I've looked at the dimensions, and I can't quite figure out if it will fit in exactly (with side case fan and mobo, it might be too narrow). Does anyone know if that cooler/case combination works? If not, does anyone have any other suggestions for a cooler that will fit in my x-sniper case?
