Hey everyone,

I just got my hands on a Core i7 970 and six glorious cores of overclocking. I put it through it's paces for a day and then bumped it up to 4Ghz at a respectable 1.275v - 24hr Prime stable.

My problem is that every time I cold boot my machine, I get the "Overclocking Failed!" message and my options are to reset to defaults and continue or hit F1 to go into the bios.

I just hit F1 to get into the bios, then F10 (not changing anything) and continue. The machine reboots, keeping my OC settings, and boots into windows normally and everything is fine and totally stable - even in Prime.

If I have a 24-hr Prime stable overclock and the PC reboots just fine with these settings, why do I get the "Overclocking Failed" message on a cold boot?

Thanks,
