I currently have my HD4850 connected to my 42" LG 42PG10 Plasma @ 1280x720 (and my LCD monitor, I switch between them in CCC to Game and watch movies) with a 1.3 HDMI Cable.
I am using CCC9.7 because 9.9 broke my connection to the TV and my ablity to replace, extend and duplicate screens, audio never worked on 9.9 either.

The picture travels through HDMI flawlessly, I can play games and watch movies. There is however, no sound. Everything is displayed as working until I try to turn up the volume, I get a "No audio device is instaled" message.
If I try to test the ATMI HDMI OUTPUT, the little volume bar(which is there sometimes) does not increase to show it is outputing sounds, ( the speakers and SPDIF option will, and sound can be heard form the speakers when enabled). I also cannnot set the ATI HDMI OUTPUT as default, and clicking configure does nothing, the button just presses down, Properties does not reveal much either, MS says all drivers are up to date.
I have searched all over the web for solutions and I can't find any, is there anybody out there who can offer some insight?
I should also add that I am using the supplied DVI to HDMI adapter, and I have tried using the other DVI output on the Card, switching DVI ports on the TV, and have even tried the R2.33 Realtek DMI software dirver.
