I recently saw these PSUs listed on several sites:

What are people's thoughts on these? I know Kingwin has made some decent PSUs in the past, but this LAZER line seems pretty promising. Any thoughts?

I did not find any technical reviews for that power supply so I have no basis for rendering an opinion. I looked at a few reviews of other Kingwin psu's. The psu's produced mixed results. Not exactly my idea of stellar performance.

I've actually read a lot of great reviews for Kingwin, especially the Mach series. Have anyone owned any Kingwin PSUs? I don't mind an alternative from the Corsairs, OCZs, and Antecs of the PSU world.

The Mach 1000 seems to be okay according to the technical review I read. Some of the other series didn't do very well in technical reviews.

Brands such as Corsair, PC Power & Cooling, and Seasonic have a reputation for high quality. They consistently earn high marks in technical reviews. They are stable, reliable, and come with a five year warranty. The Antec Eartwatts series would be a good alternative.

As has been said, no one has done a rigorous review of the Kingwin Lazer. And Jonnyguru gives the Kingwin Mach 1000 an "8". I'd be interested in what positive review you've seen on those. In any case, why bother - there are lots of *KNOWN* good ones.

One of the very best:
CORSAIR CMPSU-850HX 850W ATX12V 2.3 / EPS12V 2.91 80 PLUS SILVER Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply - Retail $200

A less expensive brand mate, still rates better than the Kingwin:

CORSAIR CMPSU-850TX 850W ATX12V 2.2 / EPS12V 2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Active PFC Power Supply - Retail $100 after MIR
