Weird memory problem

I have 2 x 1gb stick of corsair DDR2 667 memory (matched pair). Both sticks work on their own but not togethor, I have tested in two different motherboards?

I'll be running memtest overnight, but in the meantime just curious if anything blatant might spring to anyones mind?

Well I'm at a loss no errors on either stick using memtest v 3.3.

If I put either stick in dimm1 the PC posts fine. Add the 2nd stick and it wont post?

Try increasing the memory voltage a little. Or relax the timings.

Great, what are the Jedec specifications for your memory? and did your bios post the same information?

Aren't they as indicated under the memory tab in CPU-Z i.e 5,5,5,15,20?

AAAAAARRRRGHHHHH...................Slot two is knackered.

What are the chances of replacing a motherboard that has a knackered slot 2, with a new mobo thatt has a knackered slot 2 also.

Ive been pissing about with this bastard thing for 24hrs.
