I'm upgrading a Sony Vaio PCGGRT260G from Windows XP Home to Pro. The
problem is that, now that the computer is upgraded, For about 1/2
second I get a "Not enough system resources" and the computer goes
into a loop. I have tried to get into the repair area, but don't know
the Administrator's password. Youch. I'll probably need to do a
parallel install and then try to sort things out.

Regards,

Richard Hein

Start tapping F8 about twice per second as it reboots. Select Safe
Mode. Run from a command prompt dskchk /f, sfc /scannow. If you can
get it to boot to the desktop, run an intensive RAM check with memtest
or the like. Check Device Manager for problem devices.

A clean install might be more efficient, but remove peripherals first.
