I have a ASUS P5VDC-MX 0709 desktop motherboard with AMI Biosd
. I have not been able to boot my computer with Windows XP service pack 2 bootable CD. How to boot my computer & install windows a fresh to run my computer.

Setting in BIOS config to Compatibility / IDE, may solve your problem.
