My Dell dimension 4600 suddenly lost the audio output, when I was going to listening to a stored song. I tried to play a CD with the same result.
Then a found a note on the internet saying the sound "card" was imbedded in the motherboard - is that right?
In another web site I was recommended to check the version of the software, but I know only the following:
Analog Device ADI 198x Integrated Audio v. 5.
So, are there anyone out there that can give me some hints for what to do next?
I have the "DRIVER DETECTIVE" application loaded on my PC, but it just identify I have a problem with audio.
Try reinstalling your audio driver. Uninstall the current driver first.
Go to device manager and your device should be listed under sound, right click and uninstall the driver.
