Updated the BIOS on Toshiba L305,now laptop will not boot up

Updating BIOS, is a very Risky Task !
The wrong BIOS version was used, IMO, as that will certainly cause it not to boot. I think you will have to use a working computer to locate the correct bios update and also create a rescue CD to boot from for the other computer.
