Case too small

I was wondering i have a 9 bay thermaltake m9 case with clear side, and lighting kit, i was wondering would it be large enough to hold a core i7 cpu it has a q6600 quad core in at the mo also is it much of an upgrade to a core i7 920 tahnks ad

Depends entirely on the heatsink you're using for the i7 - if you're leaving everything at stock speeds the standard cooler will fit fine, but if you do even the slightest amount of overclocking then you'll need an aftermarket cooler, and then you'll need to work it out from there - cooler sizes are available online from the manufacturer as are case sizes so you can do some comparisons.

Alternatively do a Google image search using the cooler and case names and see if anybody uses that combo so you'll see for yourself.
