Constant casing hdd LED blinking

So the LED for hdd on my case is blinking constantly non stop. checked resource monitor and found that system is writing between 100 000 to 1 000 000 B/sec, and happens on the OS HDD. Is this normal or what?

Yeah, it's pretty normal. I turned off the indexing service to cut down on some of the write load on the OS drive, but there are still lots of other tasks puttering away in the background.
