Philips dvd8701 shows DVD as blank

It plays many other DVDs but I have this one video songs DVD which is playable on my friend's DVD Rom on Dell Inspiron but my philips dvd8701 shows it as blank. It also shows it as RAW with zero bytes free space and zero bytes total space. It plays other DVDs with 1x-8x logo but can not play this particular DVD which is also 1x-8x.

It's probably in a format that your philips dvd does not recognize.
