Hello

I'm thinking of buying a new PSU for my pc

I just need to power
core2duo processor,
msi p35 neo mobo,
Radeon 4850 VGA,
2 800MHZ rams,
HDD and DVDRW.

lookin for a chee PSU found that antec basiq

Please help me on choosing a power supply.
Is there any other good one around $40?

Get the Antec, i would not use the Apex for anything except a paperweight. You may check out prices for OCZ also.

Although Antec generally builds pretty good PSU's, I do not like the Basiq line. I think Antec cuts too many corners to reach the price point.

If I needed a relatively small PSU for a build, I'd get one of these:

that corsair jsc linked is probably the best option, even at 360W it can power that system of your's just fine.
