Hello, I have a Lenovo B560 but when I bought it, it was just to browse the internet. Having started uni 6 months ago ( I am a very mature/late starter!!) I am finding that the laptop cannot cope and is very slow. I really don't want to buy external memory. Which PC would be best to store all the info I download without slowing too much. Thanks for reading/helping :-)

it seems your laptop only came with 2GB of RAM/Memory.

Windows7 would be faster if you would up the RAM to 4GB.

if I understand you correctly, your Hard drive is filling up and you want to transfer the data to another computer?

How much free space you have left on your hard drive?

That laptop is actually decently fast for most things, what are you trying to use it for that it's slow? It sounds like you don't use computers much, which means you probably have picked up viruses and/or spyware in the system, which is what causes slowness for many people.

What is all this info you are downloading? For basic computer use, you should not be close to filling up the hard drive in that system. If you are downloading ripped movies and music off sites, that can easily be the cause of your issues. Go though this guide http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/8263-63-simple-free-g...
