I have a old motherboard and a new sata DVD burner. my cables don't match, I also have a sata card are there adapters for this. What can I do?

The DVD uses a SATA cable. Does the MB support SATA? Are their SATA headers on the motherboard? If so, buy a SATA cable and plug the drive in. Which MB do you have? List the system specs. What are you referring to when you say a 'sata card'?

I think what you're saying is your mobo does not have SATA but you have a PCI e-SATA card or something like that - correct?

If so: unless it has an internal SATA socket, you may be out of luck. I don't think there are external-to-internal adapters; that kind of defeats the purpose of e-SATA.
