Thanks for taking time to help. I appreciate any and all input :)

APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: <=7 days BUDGET RANGE: US $1200ish

SYSTEM USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: Visual Studio/.net dev, Warcraft, Media, I seem to end up with multiple apps open frequently (Vent, Music Stream, and main app)

PARTS NOT REQUIRED Keyboard, mouse, monitor, cd/dvd player

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: Newegg

PARTS PREFERENCES: Not attached to a brand. I've had good luck with Gigabyte mobo and antec cases but I'm open to suggestions.
OVERCLOCKING: Yes assuming I find good instructions (I7920 to 3.33 or 3.66)
SLI OR CROSSFIRE: Maybe I like the idea but I'm not sure if it's really needed for the games I enjoy.

MONITOR RESOLUTION 1440x900, 1600x1200

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: I'm open for substitutions anywhere or a different direction altogether. I was thinking along the lines below. In the past, I liked to build with the thought of having one good upgrade in the system but I don't know if that is still a solid strategy. I'm interested in overclocking but not to extreme points (i.e. I prefer cases with plenty of ventilation and don't mind buying a different heat sink but that's about the extent) I’ll run windows 7.

CPU
Intel Core i7 920 Nehalem 2.66GHz 4 x 256KB L2 Cache 8MB L3 Cache LGA 1366 130W Quad-Core Processor

Graphics Card

Radeon HD 4850, GTX 260, or Radeon HD 4870

Power Supply
Will depend on the components but I prefer to have a larger power supply to leave room for expansion.

Memory
Either 3gb or 6gb

Appreciate all the help so far. How much performance difference is there between Raid0 vs normal sata vs 10k disks? Anybody know a good article to read on the subject? Getting ready to order towards the end of the week so I'd love to see more builds or critiques of the builds here. Thanks again for all the input!
