ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: I was originally gonna make a i7 build with a gtx 285, but many people told me that i should spend less on my cpu and go big on the gpu for gaming. I know a lot about i7 motherboards and triple channel ddr3 memory but i dont know much about amd phenom 2 motherboards or memory.
Most games run off the gfx card Mainly, So a 295 will over run a 285 with the other option of a 955. but, the 955 is but 30-40 dollars less than the more better i7.
If you get a x4 955 + gtx 295 build, your looking at barely a difference in money over the i7 + gtx 285 build.
With a gtx 285 + the 750tx combo and the $199 Gigabyte motherboard that can have unlocked sli mode, pretty hard to beat.

here is my 2 cents, if you want to go with a AMD CPU+MB, go with a AMD GPU, you will gain more in less money from the integration. else, if you won't settle on a non nvidia GPU, go with intel cpu.

For Graphic Card, very shortly Asus and Evga will be coming out with new cards (most likely by end of June and July)
EVGA new one is the GeForce GTX 295 CO-OP Edition
