An OC'd i7 920 will dominate anything in the market.

And the i7 also has a combo with its very own Asus P6T Motherboard.

Memory, DDR3 1600 OCZ Platinums have been doing very well with there low price and tight times. 3x2gb.

If you go the other route, i'd rather choose the x4 955 over the am2+ cpu(940)

That also has a great Combo with its ASUS 790gx AM3 Board.

Most games run off the gfx card Mainly, So a 295 will over run a 285 with the other option of a 955. but, the 955 is but 30-40 dollars less than the more better i7.

If you get a x4 955 + gtx 295 build, your looking at barely a difference in money over the i7 + gtx 285 build.

With a gtx 285 + the 750tx combo and the $199 Gigabyte motherboard that can have unlocked sli mode, pretty hard to beat.

here is my 2 cents, if you want to go with a AMD CPU+MB, go with a AMD GPU, you will gain more in less money from the integration. else, if you won't settle on a non nvidia GPU, go with intel cpu.
