4890 and Screen Tearing

Hello everyone,

New to the forums... had a small question:

I just finished doing my first system build, all went well. I am having some decent tearing when I run demos for Crysis and Bioshock (I know old games, but good to test stuff out on). Here's my setup:

* Core i7 920
* Gigabyte EX58-UD4P
* 6 GB OCZ PC3-1600 DDR3 RAM
* XFX ATI HD4890 1 GB DDR5
* Acer 21.5" H213H LCD Monitor
* 2 Western Digital Caviar Black 500 GB

Running Windows 7 RC build 7100 if that matters

I am running Catalyst 9.6, updated DirectX10, and tried turning on VSYNC both ingame and globally (not at the same time). I also have triple buffering enabled. Is there something that I'm missing? The tear isn't HORRIBLE, but particularly in Bioshock there are 4 tears in the beggining as you emerge from under the water.

Any help or suggestions are most welcome. I appreciate your time in helping me.
