If I got a cooler like that would it be worth the money (I have a socket 775 so it wouldn't be compatible but just for the sake of discussion)

Search for "SpinQ". It's like 1/2 way down the list.

Get any of the top 10 coolers listed. esp. consider the Coolermaster Hyper 212 Plus, Core Contact Freezer, Xigmatek HDT-S1283 for best price vs performance.
