I want a little input on picking out a new processor...my intended use is mostly word processing (running mult apps at same time) a little photo editing, alot of surfing, a bit of online gaming and watching movies as well...Ive heard I need at least a dual core with 2gigs of ram, but thats as far as ive gotten...any recomendatiions would be great...

For your uses, just get a dell, lenova, or compaq pc. They are priced around $300; one lenova I saw recently on their website was $250 refurbished, and came with an e5200 Intel cpu, 3 gigs of memory, and vista premium. Check fatwallet or slickdeals for specials. I use those websites daily.
