What is usually better brand of memory:

Corsair HX3X12G1600C9 (6x2GB) 12GB DDR3-1600 CL9 XMS3 or Kingston HyperX (6x2GB) 12GB DDR3-1600

Using it for video editing and would appreciate anyone's help. And which one runs usually cooler if that is a factor that needs to be counted for?

Nobody benchmarks ram heat.

Both are excellent. I would prefer Corsair but whatever's cheaper will work fine.
It's best to see which one is on your motherboards compatability chart.

Thank you for your response. Intending to use it on a new Asus P6X58D Premium X58 DDR3 ATX motherboard http://www.asus.com/product.aspx?P_ID=wurRaDZ8lo4Ckukj&templete=2

I google "motherboard compatibility chart" and I have no idea what I meant to be looking for. Anymore help from you or anyone else would be much appreciated.

Is this what you mean about motherboards compatibility chart. http://www.asus.com/product.aspx?P_ID=wurRaDZ8lo4Ckukj&templete=2 And click on Memory Support List Tab.

If so Kingston HyperX T1 KHX1600C9D3K3/6GX 6GB 1600MHz DDR3 Non-ECC CL9 (Kit of 3) XMP 9-9-9-27 1.65V appears on the list

But this version of Corsair HX3X12G1600C9 doesn't seem to appear on the list.
