I think a video card with at least 1gig of memory..( 2gigs ? ) .. or more. A GXT285 or a GTX275 w/1792 memory. Fastest clocks you can afford....... no worries as to whether or not they can over clock and they're going to run at advertised rate and still be under warranty.
I got an MSI Lightning to try out. The extra memory helped but not until I got the card to go over 2200+....... don't buy a lightning ... those cards are not worth the price they want . Farcry2 doesn't have that little bit of stumble I got with a 260/896 card, when, I assume, the next section of map loaded..... ?... and Crysis you can have 4 or 8aa on and get smooth game play.... and it looks much better with it.
