900/902 case fan controllers + fan compatability

After going to my local Fry's, I was checking out the Antec 900 and 902. What really bothered me was the poor access to the fan controllers in the front of the 902. But most importantly, changing the speed of the top fan would be highly convenient.

After looking around I found the Scythe KAZE MASTER 5.25in. Bay Fan Controller

My main concern is compatibility; will the 900(902) stock fans work w/ Scythe's fan controller?

Lastly, I've heard of issue's of short circuiting and render that controller dead. What things should I look out for?
