So I tried to squeeze my GTX 295 in my Antec P183 with the optional VGA fan installed, and it wouldn't fit!
So instead of just letting my extra fan sit and collect dust, I was determined to use it somewhere somehow!
So I did the following, I removed the top hard drive bay, installed the fan on it, and hid it under my DVD rom.
The entire front of the P183 is perforated, so there is fresh air coming through the top of the case, but does anyone think it'll be effective?
I'm waiting on a few parts before I can build it, so I just put the case+psu+fans together, and brainstorming silly ideas.
What do you guys think?

also if u think this is a bad idea and i should remove it...do u think i should keep an empty hard drive tray in the front intake fan to help it "funnel" the fresh air in?

Please DO NOT DOUBLE POST!

As far as airflow is concerned, it should work. Test and see.

I've been looking at that case, I liked it's size, capacities, and the air flow options looked very good.

Then I read this review, where they got some strange results while testing different fan positions in that case:

You have to read it, but if you were to buy their results one conclusion is more fans is not necessarily better. Maybe their wiring interfered or caused different thermals compared to other reviews. Maybe they just got it wrong lol.

This is not to warn you or anything - your extra fan is in a different place, for sure. Just saying some testing might give you interesting info, for yourself and to share.

I would just worry about vibration from using a zip tie :P
