Hello and welcome to the forums :)
Well my suggestion is that skip Socket 775 because its out of production,a combination of i5 750 with a good P55 motherboard would be better

Thanks Maziar,
I am aware of the mainstream i5 750 cpu + Intel DP55KG MB,but that comes with a 30 % extra cost when compared to a DP45SG+C2D config.

I just want to know ,how good is the DP45SG board in terms of gaming, though it is previous generation board.

Anyone view from folks using the present ( DP55KG + i5 750 ) are welcome

The i5750+DP55KG is my present favourite

If you can go for it,its worth the 30% cost, because as i said socket 775 is out of production,so you will be stuck with something that won't be produced anymore, also in terms of speed i5 750 performs better than C2D.
Don't get me wrong,C2D CPUs are good still but since they won't be produced anymore and something faster has come out,its better to get the new ones.
And no problem, glad to help :)
