Hi folks,
Does anyone know of a CPU cooler heatsink with fan that is smaller than Coolmaster Hyper 212 plus that provides the same or very near performance? I'm wrestling with wanting to do moderate overclocking, but nothing really extreme. Also, any good companies offer it at near wholesale prices?

Here is the Coolmaster Hyper 212 Plus http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103064&Tpk=hyper tx 3

Here is my build so far:
CPU: i5-2500K, 4x 3.30GHz/6MB L3 Cache
Chipset: Intel Z68 Express
GPU: AMD Radeon HD 6950, 2GB DDR5
Memory: 8 GB (2 GB X4) DDR3-1600MHz
OS: Windows 7 Professional, 64-bit
Mobo: Gigabyte GA-Z68A-D3H-B3, 3x PIC-E 2.0 x16, DVMT Technology
PSU: 850 Watt -- Thermaltake TR2 W0319RU
Hard drives: 2x 1TB HARD DRIVE -- 64M Cache, 7200 RPM, 6.0Gb/s

Considering that the Hyper 212 plus is not that big, it will be very difficult to find a smaller cooler that performs similarly. Why do you want a cooler smaller? What case have you got?

The link you provided is the Hyper TX-3, not Hyper 212 plus. The TX-3 is smaller than the 212 plus but also does NOT perform to the same levels as the 212 plus.

If you can fit the Hyper 212 plus in your case, I would highly recommend it, I have one myself and could not be happier with what I paid for. It is great bang for buck.
