A few things you might have problems with, I will list below.

Quote :

COOLER MASTER V10 Hybrid TEC RR-B2P-UV10-GP 120mm CPU Cooler $125.99
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6835103056

With the Ram that you will be getting in that Combo, will not work with the Cooler Master V10, mainly due to height. I would suggest you get this CPU Cooler below.

Thermalright Ultra120 eXtreme-1366 RT Premium Heatpipe Cooler for Intel LGA1366 $74.95

Not the greatest of the Core i7 motherboards'. What you save in changing the CPU Cooler, you can get a better board like one of these below.

EVGA E758-TR 3-Way SLI (x16/x16/x8) LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX Intel Motherboard $264.99 Free Shipping

You be better off getting 2 of either HDD's, almost as fast but more space on them compared to the VelciRaptor.

There are a number of better cases for a Core i7 build. Here are 2, a Full Tower and Mid Tower around your price range.

Antec Twelve Hundred Black $169.99 Free Shipping
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6811129043

Antec Nine Hundred Two Black $129.99 Free Shipping
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6811129058

or if you like Cooler Master Cases, here is a Full Tower below but there is no free shipping.

COOLER MASTER HAF 932 RC-932-KKN1-GP Black $149.99
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6811119160

The reason I am showing you these other cases, is that the Core i7 runs a little warmer, You want the best air flow and space for your parts.

Would also suggest you get a good Internet Security program, that is also capable
of runnig in 64-bit OS's. Here is one that I use.

McAfee Internet Security 2009 1 User $44.99
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6832284025

I do believe McAfee ia now supporting Windows 7 OS. You can get it cheaper at McAfee own site andyou can also do the Trial version for 30 days. Link below.
http://home.mcafee.com/store/package.aspx?pkgid=273

Also get some USB Flash drives. One for Windows 7 OS, you will need a 16gb USB Memory Flash Drive should do. Like the Kingston DataTraveler 100 16GB Flash Drive and also get a couple 4gb or 8gb one's too.

Hope this helps you out some, Good Luck and have fun on your upcoming build.

Re: Velociraptor
I'd just get one, save that money and then get an SSD in another year when price and quality improve. Your SATA2 connection can handle up to 300MB/second read or write. Any SATA SSD is compatible, if the SSD is faster than this it's throttled down to 300MB/second.

I'd rather have less noise over a speed boost to the Velociraptor. I find mine quite responsive. I've been reviewing SSD's for some time and finally found one of high enough quality but still too expensive and not enough capacity (OCZ Vortex).
