EVGA X58 SLI LE Motherboard Slow Post Time

Question for anyone using the EVGA X58 SLI LE motherboard.

I just did a build using this mobo and everything is working great. The only thing I'm a little curious about is that it takes a long time 15-25 seconds to post. When I press the power button, my fans ramp up and and sits for about 20 seconds and then the BIOS finally posts... and then proceeds to boot my OS. Anyone else experiencing this? Is this normal? Thanks.

  1. Look in Advanced BIOS Features for an entry called "Quick Poweron Self Test" and if it is disabled, enable it.
