How to disable AHCI in ra830G bios and where is it?

I'm trying to install win xp pro on this RA830G Sony desktop .I go into bios and i can't find AHIC to disable, as was suggested .Its the media center model with no media.I;ve got a new hard drive (sata) but all i get is 'no hard drive ,press f3.'Any suggestion as how to force this ??Thanks for any info>

I just checked the sony documentation on this. They don't list the bios options at all. It does state that this system came configured with RAID. You can get the RAID drivers from here.

You need to use the F6 during the install to install additional drivers for the AHCI/RAID.

I downloaded and installed the raid drivers but still got nowhere.They state to PRESS S or F3 to keep going or exit and to put in recovery disk for another option. Are there any other ideas out there to try? Thanks again hawkeye22.
