That's actually a rad-mount-shroud. It mounts on the top/side of a case and the rad goes inside. Looks like it comes with the rad, but meant for external mount.

To add: looks like 1.5-2 inches?

Right now i am running a pos xspc 360mm slim rad and a 140mm rad in the back its not working i hate it, I really like koolance as a brand and this rad looks good do you think it will have any issues cooling 1 gtx 580 and 1 2600k that runs 99% for 8 hours a day for F@H, And does the size of my resivor matter i have a dual drive bay one in here and after awhile the fluid gets to 41c but the system never gets above 70c even after 2 days 99% load on gpu and cpu

There are like no reviews I can find on this koolance rad, I would prefer to go with a drop in system like that, I will be taking out my 360mm top and 140mm side rad tonight so i can get a better idea what to do, If you would look around and see if you can find somone eles that has a walk through on how to install a 480 rad in the 800d i would be happy lol thanks.

Thanks for telling me it was aluminum btw you just saved my arse, but is a 480mm going to cool a gtx 580 and a i72600k at 100% load=folding better then a 360mm xspc and a koolance 140mm slim which i have now

I think I've seen that one in use before, but it was mounted externally on top. Looks cool that way.

here is what i would do (moding is the way to go when you own 800D) ..if you have dual rad, sick it on the bottom (westcoast video i posted ) or 140MM (no moding of the bottom part required )-bottom done
next move is to cut open top for the quad of your choice (11~20FPI) or get "360/420"Aqua Computer AirPlex Revolution (one side 120MM mounting or 140MM and no moding require)
http://skinneelabs.com/ac-airplex-revo/

you need to open up back exhaust to feed the top RAD ,it's just the way 800D is crippled, best bet quad or triple on top and dual on the bottom
P.S. if you don't like your flow ..get a better pump

there is also a way to fit to quads inside your case by moving your PSU to the front

I have a bottom mounted psu I really dont want to mess with that. so let me get this straight if i use that shroud that i posted the link to above when i cut the hole useing the template will the rad be inside thecase or outside

you can use this shroud on any rad ,they have 120/140 MM fan spacing shrouds

EDIT: like i already mention this shroud will cover externally mounted fans ,just watch the video i provided early

Yate Loons are best price/performance fans for RAD, come in 120/140 flavor

According to what i see on the rad i posted above it has 5 ports on on the bottom and the other at the top like all other rads, what i really want to know and cant seem to find out is can you use that one that is on the opposite side as the others as an in, since i have a drive bay res/pump it would be nice to use that to go into the rad then on the other side which will be at the back of the case use it as an out to the cpu

I know you can answer this when you have 4 fans on top and 4 on the bottom if they are all the same fan is this ok, or do you need to have higher cfm on top or bottom

Are you kidding me? Koolance is STILL making this rad in aluminum? I didn't read it closely enough...I thought they had discontinued using Al in their stuff...guess not.
