My DVI port on my Nvidia 7900gs stopped working. I swapped out the monitor and cables got down to the card itself.

uninstall the drivers and reinstalled (ccleaner uninstall safe mode).

Still no DVI signal, I have a vga cable with an adapter.

Has anyone seen a card do this before?

Okay it discovered and started working on DVI again this AM. Note: it was working on DVI on 07-12-09 in the AM then stopped when I booted up around 4:00 PM same day.

I did various diagnostics (plug in this, plug in that etc.) on Monday, determined it was the card. In safe mode CCleaner uninstalled the driver.

Windows discovered the card and reloaded the driver. Then I updated with the latest greatest from nVidia.

The DVI would not send signals so I used the adapter and ordered a newer card.

This AM it asked if I was going to set up the DVI and boom daddy's back.

Odd resolution.
