I set my computer to a earlier date and my icons are all the same and they won't open up. I tryed to undo from earlier date but won't do anything

Have a Windows CD ? Do a repair install.

Lacking that, maybe sfc /scannow from command prompt will help.

For future reference. There is a utility available (Erunt) which is a Restore Utility (Like Windows), but much more reliable, in that Windows does not backup the entire registry Hive. I have seen so many instances where the Windows restore does not do the job. Here is a link, if you are interested.
