MA790FXT-UD5P: What BIOS you recommend?

i'm thinking of flashing it to F7, but what BIOS do you guys think is the best?

i have the old F3 on mine, so yea i have to update it. Running a 720 BE on it.

and i know no window-based flashing utilty EVER. anyway...

how exactly does Dual Bios work?

well, the BIOS doesn´t get you machine faster...


just check the gigabyte official page... there´s better info than me......

BIOS updates generally fix minor bugs and update compatibility with newer CPUs.
No extra features will be added and your system will not run any faster.

Unless you are having compatibility issues with any of your hardware, or want to upgrade to a CPU not supported under your current BIOS version, there is no reason to update the BIOS.
As what you have seems to be working fine, stick with it.

I have the same Motherboard and Cpu combo.
If you don't have any problems then don't upgrade the bios.

I could only overclock the 720 to 3.54 ghz did you also try overclocking maybe we could help eachother reaching higher speeds although I'm pretty sure my cpu can't do any more.

well, it ain't just upping the multiplier and the CPU voltage. there's other things as well, like the CPU-NB frequency, etc...
