INTEL CORE i5 750 2.66Ghz (8MB CACHE - 2.5 GT/s)

with

INTEL DP55WG (LGA1156-SND+GIGA LAN-1600/1333/1066 MHZ FSB)
2xPCX SLOT DDRIII SUPPORT

i have enough budget for above options .. now tell me which one is better for me to having high performance as well as future proof..

The i5/P55 combo is the only real choice there...

give "more/equal/less" than q9550 ...

it will either be more or equal, though it depends on what you are doing with your computer and the fact that most people don't really notice a difference (except in benchmarks and cpu heavy games)

but you also want future proof, get the i5+P55 since LGA775 is EOL

yup LGA 755 is end of the line,Core i5 is a great processor it beats the Q9550 in most games/apps

Not to mention the I5 overclocks like a beast. Someone on here got it up to 4.5 (unstable) and 4.0 stable on air.
