Pls help as want toOC my E8500 and aint got a clue !

I've read up on a few forums on how to OC and still in the blind, dont want to mash up my setup so don't want to try untill I have some more info.

I have a E8500 @3.16 and MSI P7N diamond board, I want to OC it to stop my rig from bottle necking as I've just upgraded my GPU.

Pls help !

Next stop should be a guide for your particular motherboard. Google is your friend.

Googling "overclock msi p7n diamond" will result in a lot of hits.

Because your board uses the nVidia 780i chipset, googling "overclock 780i" should also help.

You need to work through the guides and come back when you have specific questions. Overclocking Core2 CPU's does not lend itself to a cookbook approach.
