Question: A new MMO game requires a 2.8ghz processor and my laptop only has a 2.4ghz dual core, what do you think my chances are of running the game?

Logic being... I understand that a dual core does not automatically double my CPU speed, but since it is a dual core, I don't know if the 2.8 ghz requirement is geared towards single core processors that will be carrying a heavier load, and a dual core will be sharing the load therefore have a better chance? I hope that makes sense :pt1cable:

Any insight will be greatly appreciated...

Well, if it requires at least a 2.8ghz single core processor, then a 2.4 dual core should suffice. What game is it?

No idea unless you post your specs and the game's requirements in full.

Until you start playing at very high resolutions gaming is still really GPU driven so you should be fine with the CPU (and clock speed don't really mean too much anyway), but post your specs and we'll see.
