Just got crysis last night, plays v. choppy on high (must be 15 fps, give or take) but smooth on medium. here are specs: i7 920 at 3.2ghz, asus p6t 3gb 1600 ddr3 xfx 9600 gso (POS) question: what's the best GPU answer, either SINGLE or DUAL, to get in the $300-350 CAD or $300 USD range? I'll be stuck with win xp until win7 64 bit comes out in the fall.

edit 750 true power antec; playing on 1920 x 1200

What resolutoin do you play at?

300USD is more than enough cash to get a card that will play crysis on ultra high at most resolutions. Though ultra high won't be an option in dx9

Im assuming 1920x1080 or higher?
And crysis tends to run a bit better on nivida cards. To play the settings on high i would recommend gtx 260 sli or gtx295.

In all honesty, at the least, I'd get a GTX275 w/1792 memory. The fastest one they make.

I had an XFX GTX260/192 running 640/2300 and for kicks I got one of those MSI Lightning to see if it would be better. After you get the card up to around 670/2200+ the game ran fine @16x10 and you could crank the aa up past 8. I had trouble with 16Q. All on highest settings also. ( enthusiast I guess it is. ).... and yes, b4 somebody says it doesn't make a difference, adding aa does improve the appearance of the game.

You're hardware is a step up from what I have ( 775 Q ) so the game should run better.

So the Fastest card you can get.... And it appears to me that a card with MORE than 1gig but less than 2gig really are what some of these games need now. This would include farCry2. That also benefits from the extra memory........ and before somebody says this....... the extra memory doesn't help give you extra FPS but DOES allow you to turn up the goodies giving you a better visual experience.
