PURCHASE DATE: I'm buying half of the parts this weekend, half of the parts next weekend.
SYSTEM USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: Gaming, word processing, music, other entertainment.
PARTS NOT REQUIRED: Monitor, keyboard, mouse, speakers.
PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: newegg.com, or any other recommended sites.
PARTS PREFERENCES: I know for a fact that I'm going to be building an i7 Core 920 CPU. Other than that, I just want quality parts.
OVERCLOCKING: Maybe in the future, but not right now.
MONITOR RESOLUTION: 1024x768 preferred, but it isn't make or break.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: I really want a quiet PC, but again, it isn't make or break. I'm looking to build a computer that can run some pretty high-end games smoothly, but I don't want to go over a $1200 budget. If I can keep it around $1000, I'd be very grateful.
Also that Corsair you have listed is $120 before the mail in rebate. Save yourself $10 and try this psu down below. It's as every bit as good as the Corsair...identical specs.
That's a big yes to both. That case is the most recommended case on here in regards to dual card set ups for the fact it has good size, and cooling not to mention the price is decent. For a single cards set up the Antec 300 is the first choice usually. Seeing how you have an X50 board and a 750w psu it's pretty obvious you have intentions of adding another vid card later on for Crossfire. I'm an Nvidea fanboy myself....I like these gtx 275's myself. But you can't go wrong with either the 4890 or the 275.
This is going to sound like a big time newbie question, as it should, but after I build my system, how do I go about getting the Win7 RC installed on it?

DL it from a laptop and/or PC and burn it to a disk.
