Hard drive in Sata 0, but comes up in BIOS as IDE Channel 2?

Forum Storage : Hard Drives Hard drive in Sata 0, but comes up in BIOS as IDE Channel 2?

I am on my first build (TONS of fun by the way) and I am pretty sure I did it at least partially right because everything powers on and lights up. So I'm looking through BIOS (I havent changed any settings mainly because I have no idea why or what I would change) and I see that my SATA hard drive (which is plugged into channel 0 on my mobo) is coming up as an IDE channel 2 drive. I also have a SATA optical drive (which is plugged into channel 1) that comes up as an IDE channel 3 drive. Is this normal?

The mobo I have: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6813128455
The hard drive: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6822152185
The optical drive: It's a sony dvd burner that I had to get from Microcenter

Thanks I really appreciate the help

Look in the bios and see if there is place to set the SATA drives to run in IDE Emulation mode. If set to emulation mode this will make the SATA drives appear as IDE drives.
If the option is there set them to AHCI mode for best performance.
