or
I can get a phenom II x2 550 with a corsair HX750

I have a antec 900

the x3

theres no advantage in a modular psu unless you have restricted room in the case

but of course since you havent mentioned the other hardware its probably also true that you can afford a x4 945 and the 650 watt psu your system will actually need
