What happend?

So today i was playing Team fortress 2.
And suddendly my character turned red and everything else turned black.

So my question is was my GPU(gtx 260 core 216) artifacting(73 c) or is my monitor giving out(its a 4 year old HP vp17 which also has problems with the DVI input).

Does this problem happen in other games? also plz post your full system specs

Antec 1200,Q9550,EVGA GTX 260 core 216,crucial ballistix 4gb RAM,640 gb HDD, Gigabyte UD3R,22x ODD, Xigmatek HDT 1283,Corsair 650 TX PSU.

and i dont know if it happens in other games because thats pretty much the only game i play.

hmm,if u could try other games it would be better,have u run benchmarks like 3DMARK 06 ?
Also do u have the latest VGA drivers installed ?

New problem came in.
My screen started to flash one side black another side black.
and yes my drivers are up to date.

It maybe your VGA,do u have any other VGA to test with your system ?
